It's official I'm crazy.

WOWZAAA.

I finished my first 3 days of college classes and my head is spinning. I have so many assignments. I got hired on the Newspaper staff (as a Freshman!!!!). Broadcasting auditions are in 2 weeks. I've been buying textbooks (and crying after each purchase like how can some paper be $210?). And trying to say yes to as MANY opportunities as possible. All while trying to memorize 4596238475283452 new faces and names... Oh and keep my dorm clean. And laundry done.

BUT, I love every part about it. Maybe I'm just a TOO much on the bright-side kind of person? Either way I think college is awesome and everyone should have the chance to experience it not only for the education but the experiences that come along with it. I think there should be Senior College...for like super old people. I mean how cool would that be..classes that teach 95 year olds how to text or how to remember all your medications 101....this is weird I need to go to bed...but seriously "Senior College" should be a thing because even if they feel all alone they know that a whole bunch of other students are going through the same things they are. WUUUT. I think that's why college is the place to be everyone is so friendly and searching for new things because they know everyone is just stumbling about beside them.

Pre-game warm up...

Today was the last day of summer and day before my REAL college experience begins because up to now it's just been a warm up. It's been all cushy and fun ohh sleep in and come to parties that are going on all day and eat when you want. BUT NOW *dun dun DUUUUNNN* I have to somehow fit 17 hours of classes not including studying into my week and not lose all the amazing people I have met the past few days. So I of course had a blast today. Like getting stuff I still needed to get done for school (already procrastinating Samantha, I can hear my mom now "maybe, you wouldn't be so stressed out if you didn't save everything until last minute" but I get that quality from her x_x LOVE YOU MOM). I also ate with friends and went to a ballin' party. Like, literally there was HUGE beach balls just going around the crowd.

To future self: Maybe you shouldn't always take on more than you can handle BUT if you do handle 17 hours and make the grades you want, well I'm proud of you.

The "Heads Up" of my 3rd day in College

Day 3 of COLLEGE LIFE.

Everyday has been a celebration and a party! Welcome week has been a lot better than I ever could have imagined. People are so nice here it scared me, on my first day one of my new friends waited on me for an hour and then drove me to a party and introduced me to everyone. Something that I would never do back home because when someone is that nice they are setting you up for something. But here I feel like everyone is in the same boat and just looking for fun new experiences and it's been my goal to say yes to every event I have been invited too.

Today I..
-Had breakfast with a ton of people I met
-Did dishes and clean up stuff
-Went and visited a youth group on campus and got a tour of the house/office/church as well as receiving my gift card I won in a raffle before I even got to school. (and it was to a nifty little frozen yogurt place called spoons YUMM)
-Went and got boring college stuff done like fill out papers and turn in last minute paperwork.
-Met friends for lunch
-Went to my first Newspaper meeting!
-Went to a FREE COMEDY SHOW and saw Anziz Anzari, Nick Kroll, and another super hilarious guy (whose name has completely slipped my mind while writing this at 2 a.m.)
-Ate dinner at my dorm with my roommate.
-Went and played Ultimate Frisbee
-Took off to a friends house to play a new game I'm obsessed with called "Heads Up"

P.S. I'm so excited for my first day of class, like, I could probably pee my pants. I've had my class spirals set up since the first day I have been here.

P.S.S I need to get better at memorizing names...I have been so overwhelmed when I met someone I meet them and their 20 other friends all instantaneously but I can't complain it's pretty cool !

Beginning BUDS and DUDS...

ON THE REALZ MY FIRST TWO DAYS OF COLLEGE HAVE BEEN MARVELOUS....see I'm using big college words already (just kidding about the big words thing.. kinda...)
(;

Anyway, I never thought I would be this busy but I can honestly say I am squeezing and loving every single second of it.

I mean my first day had it's ups and downs, knowing my mom and brother were going to have to leave, riding in a car packed tighter than vacuum sealed space food and the stress of meeting someone I was REQUIRED to live with for the next year.. but she turned out pretty cool and I'm sure by the end of the year we will be great friends who have stories to tell.

As they say KatSnaps of my first day and dorm...

Driving into Huntsville it's so cool how everything here really supports the school ! Another reason why I am excited to live in a college town.

My first meal was super good a majority of my food has been made in front of me which makes me feel all cool and fancy (;
bon appetite

P.S. I've had this written but didn't get good internet until day 3 so I'm putting it up now (:

04 days:10 hours: 25 minutes LET'S GO!

    For the past week I have been dying in anticipation and giggling in excitement for my move in day to come, August 24, 2013 couldn't come any sooner. Not that I'm ready to "leave the nest" because I have had my share of moments where I just cry because "how am I going to survive without my mom and brother close to me". BUT, nonetheless I'M SO EXCITED FOR MY COLLEGE EXPERIENCE. Like, I sit and daydream about how I'm going to walk into class on my first day, how I'm going to get lost and have to ask my super hot future husband how to get to my class (because it's obvi that he's going to be an upper classmen), and how my roommate won't be a psycho maniac that steals little kids cupcakes while they aren't looking but becomes a great friend. Now I know that these things my be a little off as to what my first days of college are going to be like I can't help but build up a high expectation for them. ESPECIALLY because a majority of my friends have already had their first week of college and let me tell ya' they already forgot about high school and are LIVING IT UP. I can't wait to join them <3

    I'm also nervous about the whole moving into such a tiny space. I've always been blessed with my own room and have never had to downsize my stuff. I know I'm probably not going to need those 50 sweaters that all look pretty much the same BUT WHAT IF I DO!? I don't want to think about the inevitable problem of how all my crap stuff isn't going to fit in the car. Pinterest hasn't helped either because I have the obsession to decorate my dorm like I'm going to live there for the next 10 years but on the plus side I'm going to have an b-e-a-utiful wall full of pictures to remind me of home and some gold lettered magnates to write positive notes on my refrigerator.

    I've also decided that adult life is pretty much being on hold for eternity. I called my school to ask a simple question and I was on hold for more than 45 minutes (I had time to paint my nails and toes)! Then, I had to make my own dentist appointment (officially means I'm an adult) and call JustFab because ordering shoes at 3 a.m. wasn't the best idea and I didn't get the right size.

ANYWAYS, the countdown is down to 4 days 10 hours and 25 minutes. LET'S GO!

P.S. I'm lying to myself when I say the gold magnets are for spelling positive things on my refrigerator those things are to spell out inappropriate words/phrases and then laugh for hours because I'm pretty much a ten year old. WHOOPS.
